netgirl_y2kI'm still trying to work out how I feel about not having my gran to look after, mostly:
Guilty
Relieved
Guilty about being relieved
Suffering a minor crisis of identity
I've gotten so used to fitting everything else around my caring responsibilities that I really don't know what to do with myself. Which is probably why I've spent most of this week trying to teach the dogs to play dead (I have thus far convinced one of them to play moderately ill) and writing fic where Jon Snow is a girl.
As an aside, if you've ever wondered what girl!Jon Snow would look like, I present exhibit A. I don't know what the context of that promo shot is, and as knowing would probably only upset me, I am going to continue to believe it's from some Merlin/GoT AU with Morgana at Winterfell.
I've also seen the Doctor Who S7 trailer and because DINOSAURS. And you don't understand about me and dinosaurs. In fact the whole trailer looks pretty awesome and epic. And between that and the filming pictures of Jenny and Vastra I am getting really, really excited for S7. Which, you know, I shouldn't after the exercise in sinking dismay that was S6. And on the downside, Ponds, and I'm sorry, but didn't you people leave already? S6 destroyed any and all affection I had for those two. And, more River, which I want to be excited about because it's Alex Fucking Kingston, and River can be an epic character, when she's not following the Steven Moffat guide to destroying previously excellent female characters in three easy steps. But on the other, other hand DINOSAURS.
I just want a show about dinosaurs and time travel and interspecies space lesbians that isn't Moffat Who. That's not too much to ask, is it?
Also, apparently the internet neglected to tell me that the new series of Warehouse 13 had started (bad internet, no biscuit!) so guess what my plans for this evening are?
