If I'm going to keep this up I may even have to go so far as to get a GoT icon, yes.

-As always let me begin with the Stark women...

-"What if I only have girls? People will hate me." And even in all her all her naivety and acceptance Sansa has a pretty accurate sense of how unfair life in Westeros is for women of her station. And her face when she saw the Mountain kill Ser Hugh. See, I've been saying that I feel like all the Starks have the same journey where they're all so noble and honourable and upright and all individually trying to figure out how to live in a world where they're the only ones abiding by that code. But Sansa, who starts off genuinely believing in white knights, and gallant princes and happy endings, probably has the nastiest shock when she meets reality.

-I just adore all the Ned & Arya scenes we're getting. I love Ned's indulgent father face when Arya's all Syrio says this, and Syrio says that. And when Arya asks if she can be lord of a holdfast some day (by the way, much love for the way she just assumes she'd be the lord not the lady) and Ned says she'll marry a high lord and have princes for sons and Arya says: That's not me. Ouch. Because, yes, it's not her who'll be doing all these gallant things, and also, who does Ned think he's talking to, Sansa? Layers, see.

-I'm completely in love with how Cat manages to convince all these hardened drinkers in a pub to arrest this man who could probably buy and sell all of them on nothing more than her say so, it is one of the many ways that Catelyn Stark is Better Than You. Although, in the fine Westeros tradition of doing things that seem like a good idea at the time but will come back to horrifically bit you and those you love in the arse... Nice one, Cat. Enjoy the truly epic fallout that will shortly be coming your way.

-Meanwhile, back at the wall of perpetual manangst, Jon is actually in danger of cracking of smile. No, really, he's having a good time telling his new best friend about the time he was in the same room as a naked lady and using his pet direworlf for the purpose nature intended - scaring the snot out of people he doesn't like.

-And finally, briefly paying attention to people who aren't Starks, I can't be the only one who cheered when Dany said, "The next time you raise a hand to me will be the last time you have hands." Oh, Dany, I look forward to the day of your rule.
