-Hmm, I'm not sure why I bothered copying out both lists as with the exception of one Warehouse 13 fic and one Legend of the Seeker one (apparently writing the juggernaut pairing helps, even if it is in a tiny fandom, who knew?) they're basically the same list.
-I know sometimes a fic just hits the fannish zeitgeist or gets picked up for otherwise inexplicable reasons, but Care and Feeding is So Very Much more popular than anything else I've written that I sometimes look at it sideways, and it's like... what did I do and could I even do it again if I wanted to?
-I do find it interesting that the only Doctor Who fics on the list are Eleventy era ones, an era I have no particular fannish investment in and rarely write. I wonder if it's recs, or if Moffat Who is more active on AO3 whereas the earlier eras seem more concentrated on Teaspoon.
-I'm almost sure that Those Who Favour Fire isn't as much of a clunker as I think it is, but I do wish that it wasn't quite so high on either list, because it was my first attempt and writing in the fandom and it's like, I can do better, even just on the GoT femslash front I really can do better.
-A good mix of fandoms, actually. Lots of ASOIAF/GoT, which I'm choosing to believe is because they're good, and not just because they're comparatively recent and written since I started posting first/only to the AO3. I'm surprised there's no Merlin on either list, not because I especially want there to be, but because it's one of the biggest fandoms I've been in, and unlike Doctor Who it's active on the AO3. But, then, I suppose the fandom I was actually in, The Women of Merlin, was barely Yuletide sized. So.
-Funnily enough, if I'd done this meme even a few weeks ago neither of the Sansa/Margaery fics would have made it, both got a noticeable bump in hits and kudos recently, due to the show, I guess? And effect that's probably even more noticeable if you write Jaime/Brienne :-)
-Heh, I wonder if the hitcount on War Is Easier Than Daughters is because people are intrigued by the idea of a female Jon Snow or if it's because I wrote this horrifically open non-ending for it and people come back to see if girl!Jon is ever going to manage to kill Joffrey.
-Gosh, The Sides and All the Corners did well quickly, it's why I'm a bit sad that thus far there doesn't seem to be another OUaT idea that I'm desperately moved to write. I mean, I'm a big believer in writing whatever you want and being the change you want to see in fandom, but still, validation is nice, you know.
