Find the Odd One Out

Writing fic is hard and I don't want to (just kiss the girl, Nina! I promise it'll help with the werewolf angst) so what I shall do is stop for a bit and talk about this week's Game of Thrones.
-Oh, no! Don't hurt the horse! Show, we've talked about the animal cruelty before. Horribly kill as many people as you want but leave the animals alone.
-Arya is my always and forever favourite. I loved the way she talked herself back into the castle. Channeling her inner Sansa, I think.
-I continue to adore Catelyn Stark. I loved her I'm beginning to suspect I have made a dreadful mistake but I will never ever admit it!face up on the Eyrie.
-They somehow managed to make Lysa Arryn even more batshit and cringeworthy than she was in the books. Good show, show.
-Renly/Loras was never a relationship I cared much about in the books and that holds true here too. Although I do appreciate that they've set up Renly wanting to be King so early, because in the books that did seem to come from a very "Why not? Everyone else gets to be king" place.
-I missed Jon Snow this week, less so Dany. One day soon I hope to care about Dany's plot, but that day is not today.
-I still greatly appreciate the rounding out of Cersei's character. Yes, she's not a nice person, but she has a brain, goddammit. She wouldn't have survived so long in King's Landing if she didn't. I loved her scene with Robert, actually. I liked that you could take it at face value or assume that she was going: "Yes, it's sad that our marriage was never going to work. Anyhow, back to plotting your death."
On a vaguely related note, because Game of Thrones is one of the fandoms up for voting, there's a poll up at
femslash11 to see which fandoms should be on this year's Big List. Admittedly, I don't know who you'd ship from GoT unless you wanted to write me epic Cat/Cersei rule the world and have a lot of hate!sex AUs but I will applaud anyone who tries.
And finally a vid rec: I never managed to get into The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but that didn't stop me from loving the pants off of
chaila's T:SCC/Fringe vid Virus. Awesome bionic redheads are plotting your demise, oh yes!
ETA: Also,
thelittlebang femslash big bang challenge is having another round this year, and people, unlike me, who can write long fic without rending their garments and weeping should totally think about signing up.
