In which I continue not to save up Game of Thrones to marathon even though I know I'd enjoy it more that way.
-No, Ned, don't kill the puppy! It probably says something awful about me and the value I place on human and animal lives, but of all the numerous deaths in the books, Lady's is the one I have still not forgiven GRRM for. I read somewhere that after filming finished the actress playing Sansa took that dog home as a pet, I don't know if that's true, but if it's not don't tell me because it's making me feel better.
-Arya continues on her journey to be The Best One Ever. I approve massively.
-I want to take back everything I said last week about the casting of Catelyn Stark, because Cat gets her moment of Stone Cold Awesome. Permanently fucking up her hand by grabbing an assassin's knife by the blade to protect her son. By. The. Blade. And then running off to do her Sherlock Holmes thing. And then deciding to go after Ned by herself.
-LOLed at Theon telling Robb that if there was going to be a war he'd be behind him. Yeah, Theon, quite far behind him, right?
-Lena Headey, stop making me care about Cersei Lannister! Her scene with Cat. Just. She's so two-faced, but she's so convincingly two faced.
-I'm still mainly in this for the Stark women, but I do hope to one day not be massively skeeved by the Dany/Drogo plot. Although, where do I recognise the girl playing Dany's sex tutor from? Gosh, you can tell this is airing on HBO, can't you. Also. That scene? Yum.
-Tyrion continues to be win, mainly in this episode for beating on that odious little oik Joffrey, who just stands there and takes it despite being twice Tyrion's size. ILU, Tyrion!
Am pleased that the Female Character Trope Fest is open for business, although my brain has rather stalled due to a surplus of ridiculous ideas, like does the universe need Being Human bodyswap fic more than it needs Legend of the Seeker as a modern day university AU? Serious questions, people, serious questions. Also, someone should write the Amy/Morgana time travel prompt, because I sort of want to, but it was my prompt and that feels kind of shameless.
