Today is Covid Vaccine Day!
By lunchtime I will be able to go outside and lick the eyeballs of any elderly person I want to, except obviously I won't because it's only the first dose, and that would be incredibly unhygienic, and also my employers frown on that sort of behaviour and I would be immediately fired.
So instead I will stay inside, and wear a mask, keep social distancing, and remain twitchy as fuck until my parents have had both doses.
But I'm not going to lie, this feels great!
EDIT: Done! I can't speak to anywhere else but NHS Scotland seem to have it down to a fine art; I was in and out in half an hour and fifteen minutes of that was them getting me to sit afterwards in case I felt icky, which I didn't. I keep looking at the wee plaster on my arm and grinning. Science is magic for grownups.
