Joy's last-minute team-up with Davos is straight out of the comics. There she thought that Iron Fist was responsible for killing her father (he wasn't, he was chasing the guy that did) and she teamed up with Davos (who has pretty much the same motivation as here) to take him down. But yeah, it was very shoehorned in.
