I was an adult learner (I lived in large cities from ages 18-26 and didn't need a car) and I was really pissed off with how rude people were to learners! I don't understand the logic of "find anxious and inexperienced person in control of a tonne of moving metal and make them more anxious". I'm glad I didn't learn as a teenager, it would have been really off-putting.
