For anyone who is feeling sour after Saturday's episode of Merlin (Quick review: it turns out there are worse people in Camelot than Merlin and Gaius, and one of them is king, how very depressing) I highly recommend liberal application of this fic:

And I am done with my graceless heart by dollsome (Merlin; Gwen, Morgana) in which the girls meet after 4x09 and there are feelings, and quiet anger, and talking, and it is perfect.

It's just lovely, isn't it?

And this is why Merlin is so confusing to me, because I hate most of the show's choices so much that I don't really want to waste fannish time and energy engaging with it, but at the same time it's vastly important to me that I have all the fix-its and ridiculous AUs about the girls, all of them.

I was saying the other day that I want them moved to another show (not Katie and Angel, although, yes, that too) I want the actual characters moved wholesale onto a show that I don't slightly hate myself for watching.
