World Didn't End. Time For Cake.

I don't know if it was just that nothing was ever going to live up to the unparalleled genius of last week, but that was possibly the single dullest episode of Doctor Who I've ever seen.

Anyway. Three things that are making me happy today.

1. I was on a train this lunchtime which rumbled past Murrayfield and we saw what I think were the Edinburgh rugby club training, fourteen of them in their strips, one of them in a lime green, what one of my fellow passengers informed me was a mankini. I don't know if this qualifies as something that made me happy, but it certainly made me laugh.

2. Lookit! It's a titchy wee owl!

3. The kudos feature at the AO3, which I understand some people aren't sold on. But I started putting every kudos I got into an e-mail folder and sometimes I open the folder and get a wee squishy feeling in my heart. Squish.

OWL!!!!!! SQUISH!!!!!! I WANT TO TAKE IT HOME WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hey, over here it's only 3:30 pm, so we still could be getting our rapturing on. apparently people are saying 6 pm. what the everloving hell? american crazies are crazy. maybe i should write my writing exercise about the rapture. i'm having the hardest time coming up with something that's not just narcissism or paranoia.

I LOVE OWLS. AND PENGUINS. Although I am phobic of pigeons. I am very odd.

When the rapture gets here I am going to have a cross word with it about its timekeeping, some of us have a schedule to keep. I am writing mine about zombies, to the shock and amazement of everyone, I'm sure.

I love the kudos feature at AO3. I'm hopeless at commenting but push-of-a-button-validation is almost foolproof!

I love leaving kudos because I have these phases of being too shy to talk to anyone I don't know, even if it's just to say "btw, love your fic" and kudos neatly bypasses that. Also there was the night where someone seemed to have read all my fic in a row and left kudos on nearly everything, and that made me happy in my heart.
