I feel like this year Rory's much more his own character (and an adorable one) rather than a decision for Amy to make. But, yeah, I don't recall giving up and sobbing over someone's chest until they wake up of their own violation being an approved method of CPR either. Then again, the people I was watching with very much appreciated shirtless Arthur Darvill, so there's that.
