I actually have a whole elaborate headcanon about how they would work as a couple. They'd be all sharp edges, and too many memories for tiny human heads, and ridiculously intricate haircare regimes. And they'd both be terrified of the day they have to leave the TARDIS because it's the only place they've ever really fit.

Basically, I have overthought it like whoa.
