Arrgh, yeah, your family has a solution to the grandmother-care problem that doesn't require them to do anything about it personally and are now objecting to a change in the status quo. Understandable on their parts, but they're going to have to suck it up and deal. At least spreading it out amongst multiple people means everyone involved shouldn't have too much to deal with.
