Yeah, Dany's storyline in the books-- in theory I love that she has to learn to be a ruler on the fly, that she flounders and fucks up, and still tries to be a good queen, in practice I find it incredibly frustrating to read about her taking two steps back for every one forward.

I mean, I think it's pretty obviously Dany's storyline that got hurt the most in the series turning from a duology into a however-many-it'll-end-up-ology, but maybe a better way to deal with it would have been to cut way back on the Essos stuff and have her progress told mainly through the rumours the characters back in Westeros hear about her.

But, yes, awesome dragon queen Dany, if you keep giving me that, show, I may find it in my heart to overlook some of your more egregious brothel scenes. But, just, UGH, and this was an episode with a lot of good stuff in it, too, and it's like, how can this show be so awesome and so shit in the same episode?

Riverrun was lovely, I'm frequently impressed with the settings in this show. But I could have lived without the shot of Robb laughing at Edmure at his dad's funeral. Show, you are writing the Young Wolf wrong when I am literally rooting for Roose Bolton to shank him.
